Size & Price Adjusments
Effective January 1st, 2026, we'll be adding 'Toy' and 'Giant' to our size categories, to further optimize and account for all the pups of varying shapes and sizes. The updated size categories were informed by an aggregation of breed weight data provided by the American Kennel Club and BjörnBear's client records.
We'll also be applying price adjustments corresponding to the updated size categories, with general service fee increases to keep up with rising living and business-associated costs. BjörnBear's #1 priority will always be the comfort and welfare of our furry friends. I believe our focus on grooming quality and creating a calm, home-based studio environment has been the main driver of our success and client satisfaction. We have been completely cage/crate-free since day 1, and every pup receives 1:1 care from their groomer from start to finish. Every grooming session is completely private (1 dog in the studio) or semi-private (slight overlap with another pup). There are never more than 2 dogs in the studio, except if Björn sneaks in to steal a treat. We never rush an appointment and allow pups to take breaks and play in our fenced-in backyard, directly accessible from the studio. In order to maintain the quality of our services and the peaceful studio environment you and your pups have become accustomed to, without having to turn BjörnBear into another high-paced, overcrowded, commercial dog grooming factory, we have decided that this is the best path forward.
Please see below for our updated pricing and sizes. All appointments booked prior to January 1st, 2026 at current prices will not be affected. À la carte and walking services pricing are to remain the same.
